#notedeck now has initial or basic zap support via NWC. the first iteration is hardcoded to 10 sats per zap. notedeck doesn't have likes, so having this as the default and only reaction is a great start for #value4value i look forward to having this expanded upon and enhanced in the future. great work @npub1fgz3p

We've spent a big part of 2024 trying to make a reliable non-custodial signer with nsec.app. It hasn't worked out perfectly - remote access to keys stored on a mobile device is still unreliable, especially on iOS.
That's why we got very interested in AWS Nitro Enclaves - h/t @nprofile1q and MapleAI team for inspiration!
The idea is to have an open-source custodial signer and deploy it in an isolated environment that provides attestation for the deployed code. Anyone would be able to reproduce the code build and verify that the signer is running the correct code in a safe environment.

what are your thoughts on zaps4follows? my take is that nostr gives us the freedom to do whatever we want. i wouldn't do it. i think it's spammy and scammy. however, i also understand with very little algorithmic help, it's hard for new npubs to gain traction. if someone wants to offer the hardest money we have for some follows and engagement, i say that proof of work, the freedom to communicate, and the free market are working as intended. on the other side of the argument, if you don't like it, you're also free to complain. nostr gives us that freedom too.

I don't see Zap support though 😩

Amethyst will be removing NIP-04 soon. This is great news because NIP-04 for DMs needs to go away, however this will also will make DMing people using Amethyst from Primal and Damus impossible. DMs are a cluster fuck, but it needs to happen. Sometimes you have to rip the bandaid off.
