Nostr needs algos and algo choice and it has to just work or we’ll have a hard time growing.

Algo incentivizes content. Content incentivizes people. People incentivize content creators. Content creators bring more attention and more people.

Also maybe set up metrics that don’t suck and talk about them everywhere.

Hi folks we've been experiencing some disruptions over the past couple days as we've been working to mitigate against an attacker who found and exploited a vulnerability in our system that allowed them to get password reset codes for accounts that didn't belong to them.

Using this exploit they were able to gain access to a number of accounts that they shouldn't have had access to and withdraw funds.

We've patched the issue and believe we've revoked the attacker's access to the compromised accounts by invalidating their JWT authentication tokens and NWC secrets.

We've instituted system-wide withdrawal limits as a precautionary measure while we work to fully restore and migrate the payment records of affected accounts.

still amazed how much clients are improving every day, just a year or two ago there were a few barely usable ones. now we have many very good mobile clients with a wide variety of features.

This year damus will add two more to the mix: notedeck and android, and from there: the damus suite. A set of tools for different use cases: social, work, play. All interoperable. The future of nostr is many clients working together reliably for different use cases.

So much more cool stuff to build. We’re just getting started 🏁🏎️
