Seems like a good alternative to npub.cash so I’ve set my Lightning address to bullish@zeusnuts.com to test.

Hello everyone! I want to share my opinion on how much a node or multiple nodes in the #Bitcoin #LightningNetwork can earn for their owners, using the example of my own nodes. I will provide the figures as an annual percentage.

Currently, over approximately five days, the entire network of my nodes earns about 500,000 satoshis per day on average. This is an average parameter. 500,000 satoshis is 0.005 bitcoins.

The liquidity on my side across all nodes is roughly around 300 bitcoins. So, let's simply calculate the annual percentage. You can roughly calculate it like this: 0.005 bitcoin multiplied by 365 days divided by 300 bitcoins. Multiply by 100%, and it comes out to about 0.6% profit from fees, which are currently at 700 ppm + 1 sat base fee.

This formula does not take into account the costs for opening channels, which

Cashu.me - (ecash wallet )

Npub.cash - (Nostr native lightning address)

It’s in your browser

The money is in your Nostr relays

You can withdraw non kyc #zaps you get on Nostr to your ecash wallet

Then once your no kyc ecash stack gets to a decent amount, …. U can withdraw to your self custody non kyc lightning wallet….

Then one that gets to a good amount,,, you can move it onchain and label non kyc

Or you could have a whole separate wallet for on chain no kyc πŸ’Ÿ

still improving dave's note rendering. you can ask for any number of notes and it will show them.

next I want to add a button to every post that you can click for analysis, similar to how grok works. this is useful if you don't understand the post and want it to explain the context.

I'm pretty happy with the UI so far. now I just need to finish the lightning backend so anyone can use it anonymously + NWC pay per token.

If all goes will this should be in our initial damus android release!

I started Bitcoin Core development a bit more than a year ago - today I had my 100α΅—Κ° commit merged \:D/. <It ain't much, but it's honest work>, and it's one of the most important projects one can work on.
If you're enthusiastic about Bitcoin and want to help (and have a reasonably thick skin), there's a lot of code review and testing work that is greatly needed!
I'd like to thank the entire team for their continued guidance, reviews, and unwavering obsession with safety and quality, as well as @OpenSats and @Spiral for allowing me to work full‑time on making the world a better place.

Passkey update: Bitwarden, Firefox, and Safari all seem to play nicely together now when it comes to passkeys. I’ve been creating and saving passkeys into Bitwarden whenever a site prompts me to set one up. Signing in with them works how I would expect. It’s not really a different UX from signing in with a username and password using a password manager.

And I think I’m defeating the purpose of passkeys by storing them in a central vault, but hey if websites won’t log me out or ask for 2FA so often that’s a trade I will happily make. The accounts I really need secured get the Yubikey.

interesting -- on #atrpoto you can see all of the accounts that are being labelled by any 1 labeller on any tool (but PDSLS is the best one by far - has a lot of features).

for example, in turkey, you can see the censored accounts/posts here: https://pdsls.dev/at://did:plc:cquoj7aozvmkud2gifeinkda/labels

to see others, just find the #bluesky moderation account for that country, get the account's DID (decentralised identity) and pop it into that URL on pdsls.

for those that don't know, quick notes on labellers:
-can be setup by anyone
--> e.g. there's a "XBlock" service which lets you hide posts with screenshots from particular social networks (Reddit, Twitter, Insta, etc..) in case you're sick of seeing them all over your itmeline

-bluesky collects your general location (VIA IP, NOT GPS) to know what labels to apply automatically

-on

When you build a system that allows central control and censorship then the state will use those affordances if they feel the need. Bluesky’s blocked some Turkish accounts by order of the Turkish government.

el

The user DID keys are still active but their associated domain name / user names are not and the identities at blocked by bluesky’s moderation system that Turkish users can’t opt out of.

https://bsky.app/profile/nekorug.moe/post/3lmwgtwfggs2e

To escape this censorship you need to both use a Bluesky client that doesn’t opt in to the company’s obligatory moderation and also some relay and appviews which refuse to comply with Turkish censorship orders.

Still way more engagement on nostr than on X. Way.

Post on X can go viral with thousands of likes and I only have crap comments. Real bitcoiners I care about don't engage much at all. Most replies are AI bots summarizing the OP.

In contrast, nostr feels like an actual social network. I say gm, people say it back. I post an edgy opinion and people actually tell me what they think. I can use all the words that I want without getting nerfed because devs are too lazy to implement algoritnms. I get my news here via a bunch of bots I follow. I have a raw thought and I post it without thinking about it too much and no single company monopolizes and profits from my speech it by sucking up my soul.

Things are good.

we reject gatekeepers.
we defy borders, hierarchies, and middlemen.
code is our passport. access is our right.

permissionless technologies defend freedoms.
they scale trust without institutions.
they enable action without approval.

no one asks to speak.
no one begs to build.
no one waits to change.

we build systems that can't be shut down.
we create tools that serve all, not the few.
we write code that liberates, not controls.

this is not just infrastructure.
it’s a revolutionβ€”
silent, sovereign, unstoppable.

we don’t ask.
