First, it claims that criminals use “illegal” mining operations to launder money, which literally defeats the entire purpose of money laundering.
Money laundering is done best via businesses that generate quick cashflow – at current hashprice, even if you *did* have free electricity and a all-in hosting cost of 0, one ASIC generates a mere return of ~$6000 over the course of 24 months.
This is particularly true in the fucking LIBYAN DESERT where heat and dust contribute significantly to wear and tear, but I’m sure that the geniuses who wrote this report also take their laptops to the beach.

Finally wrapping up on the Great Refactor of the @Shopstr codebase. Not much functional change apart from more efficient event fetching, so now everything can be fetched at once and displayed up front rather than requiring shoppers to manually "load more" to see older listings, including their own. Biggest thing was abstracting the signer checks for NIP-07, NIP-46, and encrypted nsecs, so implementing new Nostr functionality just requires dropping in a signer object and the respective signing calls are handled on the fly. Passphrase inputs for unencrypting locally stored nsecs are now also capable of being remembered across an existing session, removing the need for constant inputting at each page route.

If an early innovator holds enough bitcoin and the price appreciates just more than their overhead, they can stay "disastrously early" for however long it takes to flip over into "just in time!". And society reaps the rewards of an invention it may never have seen or seen much later.
Bitcoin appears to be providing this service _to itself_ as well. That's combinaton is a goddamn civilization hack right there....

I started Abode Kitchen and Home Goods as an avenue to make some side money.
I started small in my local community and have had plenty of satisfied customers because, while I sell mass produced items, I give the experience of buying a custom feel.
I was told to start selling online, that it would expand my business a bunch. So, naturally, I decided to give it a try.
Facebook marketplace helped me grow a TON and I got super excited. The huge push in momentum motivated me to open my sales channels to anything that was available.
Etsy, Ebay, Shopify, and I started offering shipping...
EVERY SITE has suspended me simply because I advertise the fact that I accept bitcoin for payment.
Most websites wouldn't even give me the courtesy of telling me why I was being
