Interesting to see the feedback to my note below. It's about evenly distributed between hating and loving buzzbot, as well as being indifferent. Therefore, we decided to offer our users a choice.

Pretty wild that people can pay for engagement without relying on any central parties. No need to rely on the twitter API or payment processors when we have Nostr and Bitcoin.

Some are paid, most are free. There are multiple commercial Nostr projects with an incentive to run relays. Primal runs two: one fully open, one for our premium users. We also run an open-source indexer and caching service.
In my view, Nostr scales through a combination of the outbox model (a.k.a. gossip), caching layers, and eventually, p2p transfers between clients. Nostr doesn’t need to rely on a single transport protocol. Every signed event stands on its own. We’ll make many copies of signed events and find different ways to move them around.

There’s a lot of work ahead to make this happen, but it’s totally doable, and dare I say, inevitable.

With KeyTeleport you can remotely setup the COLDCARD for grandma™, send extremely sensitive secrets to co-workers across borders like ssh keys, set mom up with a seed, backup your entire Q to someone else. All without a third party. Over video call.
With CCC, the same COLDCARD becomes your collaborative co-signer. This gives your velocity limits, 2FA, etc...
Be a good cypherpunk.

As for Primal, yes Ross is in the Legend tier. Where else? We disabled all the profile embellishments. Ross can enable what he sees fit.
@Ross Ulbricht welcome to Nostr sir.

"The hungry vegetarian, in contrast to his state when satiated, is likely to be far more savage than the hungry carnivore." 👀
The context is the idea that the abdominal organs have the ability to temper the ego. I wonder how controversial that statement was in his day (early 1900s).

This outage at one of our hosting providers is a good reminder why protocols like Blossom are important. We are very close to deploying Blossom to the entire Primal stack. This should make both Primal and Nostr much more resilient. Stay tuned!

The change in the output LLMs produce with it is MASSIVE; they no longer worked based on a large blob of unweighted code; now I can point them to see EXACTLY how I do a particular implementation under very precise conditions.
Now whenever I see the LLM making a mistake I correct it, publish a code snippet, and the LLM never makes the mistake again.
It’s absolutely wild to see LLMs using interfaces in NDK I literally just implemented and getting their uses right first time.
This is not only useful for nostr development.
This is useful for ALL development.
And requires cryptographic identity, web-of-trust, censorship-resistance and money.
All building blocks that are in our very robust toolbox.
The future is very bright

I’m certain Nostr will take off, and that belief stems from my trust in myself. I’ve got a strong sense of intuition and feel the vibe—and I don’t even entertain doubts about Nostr’s success; it’s just a question of timing. I’ve got what I call BNE—Big Nostr Energy. BNE isn’t about arrogance; it’s a quiet assurance that I don’t waste time in places that don’t feel right. It’s confidence. You’re just one of the first to show up to the next big thing. Trust your gut—this is the place to be.

We’ve launched support for muting notifications from hellthreads (notes with more than 10 user mentions). By default, this setting is enabled for all users to help reduce noise and improve your experience.
For hellthread enjoyers, if you prefer to receive notifications from hellthreads, you can adjust this setting in the Notification Settings section of our Web app. That setting will be available in our mobile apps in the next release.
If you run into any issues or have feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We are working on better feeds and an improved onboarding process that doesn’t make new users auto-follow a bunch of accounts by surprise. Those two features are related.

Nostr sucks because it's mostly all chronological follow feeds without good algorithms. Good content is extremely hard to discover and will be missed most of the time.
There's a reason why every single social media service uses them - because that's what billions of users want
Only a community of bitcoiners can be so stubborn to look at our user retention rates and see their feeds go stale constantly and still believe that private keys will bail us out of inferior UX
Tell your client devs you want algorithms, they exist, they're just not implemented
