Man, my salary is in FIAT.
Their costs are in FIAT, and decreasing in Bitcoin terms.

Maybe some people gave away services for extremely cheap, essentially for nothing, in the beginning, knowing $3 for a lifetime access to a service was not sustainable and it would be made up in the long run. There are all sorts of schools of thought here. None are right or wrong. Just different.

Ok, I see your point. But I believe it's not sustainable.
Those that sets their prices so low back then, are betting that in the future their customers are people that are bitcoiner since ages, and saw the benefit of bitcoin very early on.
A dude that now is 10years old, will never be able to pay a relay 10k sats in 8 years. So your audience is pioneers bitcoiner and very tich people only.
On the other hand. Let's suppose this company has this view, so they also paid very cheap salaries in the beginning to their employees, and those salaries will go up in value as much as bitcoin does. You think they will be able to pay same salaries in sats forever? Again I believe is not sustainable in long term, you have to adjust as adoption increases and so as sats per human decreases and became much more scarse.

I gotcha. It goes back to the fair value of the service. I assume at some point in the future relays, storage servers, and other Nostr service providers will adjust prices. I also know that many people gave these services away for essentially nothing to help bootstrap the ecosystem, losing money in the process. They'll probably recoup funds for a while and then adjust when the time is right. At what price point is that? Everyone is different. Who knows?

Kudos to you sir, but I understand if some one exclusively to price in bitcoin, fair.. but if they don't adjust the value of their product as their cost of production decreases in bitcoin terms, some other will take that advantage amd arbitrage at the margin.
Can't wait to see new relays options and at lower prices. That's what I am talking about specifically ahahah now some relays here costs more than Netflix.
