While I have nothing against short fiction, the reason I’m not drawn to it is that I want to get to know the characters. That takes time.
My sweet spot tends to be a long stand-alone novel or a duology/trilogy.
When you go longer than that, into some epic series, I’m skeptical. By default I view it as someone writing for a career rather than to tell their optimal story, with *very* limited exceptions.

Yes, yesterday's DOJ memo *says* that they will stop pursing the developers of software for the conduct of their users. At the same time, the entire memo seems full of insane amounts of double speak, while giving no actual definitions of its claims.
First, the priorities and considerations in the memo describing what such protections are contingent on remain completely undefined.
Does other means to transmit and transfer funds include non-custodial services? Nobody knows. What is the knowing and willful transmission of funds for non-custodial or immutable services? Again, we remain clueless. Can I be charged with aiding and abetting terrorism if a terrorist uses my service? Well, we'll review that on a case-by-case basis.
Then there's the specific exclusion of a1960 subsection that

The best way to pass on bitcoin to your heirs involves cooperation while you're alive. Or trust. If you can tell them what's in the estate stack ahead of time, you can use multisig & PSBTs to create a dead mans switch on your own. No need for google or any other 3rd party single point of failure.

I have an Umbrel and am trying to self-host my own Lightning Network wallet that I can zap to/from on Nostr using my own vanity address. via NWC.
Feels like when I get one thing going, I break another thing...right now I'm having a hard time generating the Pay Links on LNBits.
If anyone can help me get this setup, I'll zap you 90K sats.
My only hard requirement is that I want to do this synchronously, so you'd need to be willing to hop on a Zoom-type session. Also I'm English-speaking, so kindly ask you be fluent in English. 😃

Cookware & food storage containers should be a lifelong investment
...unless you plan to stop eating at some point.
This tea strainer is cheap. But it works very well. Not as well as some, and the top edges of the flat plate aren't deburred as much as I'd like. That's easy enough to take care of. My point is that this cost me less than two fiat dollars. It works. And now I can stop using probably toxic tea bags when I drink my tea.
My point in this note is that does not need to cost a lot to make small improvements in your health. Small improvements add up over time. Start now. Future you will thank you. (This is a reminder for myself more than anyone.)

You have time now to allocate however you like, regardless of your wealth.
Material resources have zero correlation to inner resources.

What’s something you learned that completely changed how you saw everything?
I’ll start:
When I found out that being healthy and losing weight wasn’t about spending hours exercising & running miles every day, but that 90% of the battle was just about removing horrifically unhealthy (and very normalized) chemical substitute, grain heavy, “fat free”, and sugar packed foods - but was just about getting back to the basics and animal based fats. Everything else is crazy easy after you do that.
Then to add, that your mood, depression, energy levels, are also SO insanely dependent on that same problem.
