So if i manage to teach a Brand / Company to take their key pair super-seriously.
And have epic UX that makes it all fluent and fun for them.
And also provide a great solution for key delegation.
What reason do I then have to teach them any other pattern for taking ownership of their Community?
- Tell them to "own" a domain name? Of a relay that can go down for whatever reason?
- A username + password ? Lol.
- A replaceable event that specifies the administrators? Signed by who?

a #communikey that runs their own relays, blossom servers and mint. they have set up their content tabs with a calendar, articles, streams, polls and funding goals. they can choose what content the community shows and where it's hosted. every piece of content is reactable/repliable/zappable. they set the terms of service and enforce moderation through relays. new members that are onboarded to nostr via the community already have a cashu wallet and blossom server they can use.
as soon as classified listings are supported they'll be able to add a "Market" tab. can you see where this is going? :chad_headset:

You can't "break major apps" with your improved spec.
Because those apps didn't specify the specs they use.
You can't just finger point to some contentious GitHub repo and play blame-game forever.
:Nostr: Nostr is made to publish things and reference other things in those publications.
So let's publish App Releases, that reference Specs.
Full transparency.
If builders don't follow the spec they themselves said they're using. That's on them.

All kidding aside, I'm putting this wallet idea out here for feedback because I 100% need this, think this kind of stuff is beyond exciting and want to see where this can be better. (sorry for the "Fan Art" spam @Paul, @Carman 😉 )

I wouldn’t discount the opportunity to rethink things from first principles on nostr though.
Especially for the UX/UI of something like an unstoppable collaboration tool.
Copying something doesn’t make it an order of magnitude better (just because it’s on nostr now).

NIP89 is the app store killer
App stores sit at the top of the food chain because they enable us to discover new apps.
Nostr doesn't need an app store to allow us to discover new nostr apps, because NIP89 allows this to happen from within any existing app.
Every nostr client *is* the app store, and you discover new apps by seeing comments etc on events produced by other apps.
How it works
NIP89 provides two simple building blocks:
- a way for apps to “register” kind applications handlers (e.g. app X supports kind Y using such-and-such URL)
- a way for users to publicly associate kinds with these application handlers throughout their different platforms (e.g. web, vs ios)
A byproduct of this is that anyone can see what applications exist for a
