Just me, running past being present toward a #bitcoin future ruminating on what it all means. Nothing I say is advice, except: apply yourself, save bitcoin, be grateful. Repeat.

Pana - The Refuge Network State

1d ago

This is the Playbook.

The money looks like """aid""", it's just laundering it into their own pockets!

This isn't specific to a particular War - Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Myanmar - it's ALL the same!

The words always start with B for Billions and not M for Millions.

*I hope you can imagine just how much money that is*

Everyone’s speculating about what new tariffs on China might do.
But in the wine world, we don’t have to guess.

In 2018, 25% tariffs were placed on Chinese wine bottles—70% of the U.S. supply at the time.
Here’s how things look 7 years later.🍷🧵

Chinese glass was everywhere.
It was cheaper and easy to get ahold of.

I used some for my first vintage.
They worked, but the quality was inconsistent.
You’d get bottles with enough size variation to make some of your labels go on crooked.
Not ideal.

After the 2018 tariffs, Chinese imports dropped in half.
Their share of the U.S. wine bottle market fell from around 70% to about 30%.

No one was ready to expand production in size.

Wine bottle prices have gone up around 47% since

I like the product, understand why they "pulled out of the US", and still completely agree with you that we lose when we come to rely on tools and products who's operation relies on the whims of those in power.

Build things people can "just" use, and opt out of the red and blue matrix.

Phoenix wallet „being back in the US“ just because one subset of degenerate politicians has won an election isn’t a win. It’s losing. It’s proof of bad design.

When the other degenerates win you’ll maybe understand.

So all I’m saying is get your shit together, you fucking fan bois.

Graph of Canada's population vs worker productivity from FT.

Unsurprisingly, if you rapidly expand your population by importing millions of third worlders, per-worker productivity will go down.

The fact is we're not all equal. Canada's population is significantly smarter than the world average. Importing the rest of the world en-mass will inevitably degrade that advantage.

Making IQ tests a requirement for immigration would be a good start.
