Okay, I have a confession to make: I'm back on LinkedIn.
Not because I was dying to (actually, I really wasn’t), but because someone seriously convinced me to reactivate my account there. LI says reactivation is only possible within 48 hours after deletion, but as I found out, you can actually do it even weeks or months later. Like I said, I didn’t just get talked into it — they even offered to run my account for me. So now someone else is posting for me; basically, I have a ghost social media manager now.
And what I had to admit: Nostr just isn’t far enough along to really support my income streams. And, I’m not in the mood to spend months here with 2–3 other weirdos repeating "circular economy" over and over. Nostr is still more like a playground — though for some haram business

The TSA kiosks are just for boarding, and are honestly completely superfluous, because you’ve already been tagged and identified from the moment you walked into the building or stepped off a plane.

I think one of the most important cases and things to focus on regarding bitcoin for the foreseeable future (and we’ll certainty be doing this at @The Progressive Bitcoiner) is how to advocate for bitcoin as a tool for the people when Wall Street and elites are buying and hoarding in massive amounts. The rich and powerful are getting more rich and powerful with bitcoin.
Those outside the Bitcoin bubble (and many within) will have serious qualms with this and be turned off from learning about, holding, and using bitcoin.
What are your best arguments for Bitcoin for the little guy, even though wall st is accumulating in mass and their bags will be pumped (not saying I’m trying to change or limit this, just asking how you would articulate the importance of bitcoin to a skeptic)

The mempool download was quick, a few minutes maybe. Btc core took me a couple days, and Electrs maybe half a day. We have Starlink internet, which has been super reliable for us, unlike the previous internet we had. I went ahead and bought a ups (backup power), in case of short power interruptions. Several folks on star9 community recommended it.

Good morning nostr, its a nice 64F, and i'm enjoying my coffee before i head out to do my volunteer shift at the resale shop. After that i need to do some watering and all variety of chores around the house. @Damus I love this app. This is by no means a complaint; recently (last several weeks), when I post, say two different pix, three pix will sometimes post, two of the same one, and another that was intended with the first (that posted twice). It doesn’t matter to me except that I am certain it wastes bandwidth or whatever, and I feel foolish and wasteful.

So a weird woo woo moment happened this morning. Y’all prolly know that little notification ring when you press the home key to pay on your iPhone; distinctive clear ping. I was labeling honey in the silence of the honey shop downstairs. No phones were in the shop. No radio or any other possible noise-source. That distinctive ping sounded. I nearly levitated because I knew my phone was outside, upstairs, in my purse pocket, in the house. It was the strangest occurrence because there was no other source for that sound. Still shook.

TIL that when you go to your local feed & seed, you better friggin’ know what you’re asking for. Asked for fringe tree, they say, yes, I buy, plant, baby through 2 freezes, it lives. See several fringe trees beginning to bloom around town with different leaves from mine. Got on iNat and post pix to find wusup. I have the Chinese fringe tree, not the coveted American fringe tree which has longer more delicate flowers. The American is the last picture.

MUST VENT BEFORE I BLOW A GASKET. A friend texted last Friday that she was stopping by, and did I have honey. I responded yes, she responded she would bring yard eggs from her flock. I got the honey bagged up, went on my business, but tried to work near the house so I wouldn’t miss her. Day comes and goes, no show fren, no text. Saturday, same thing. Get a text Sunday night, explaining that her day got upside down. I was kind/understanding. Happens like this all week, she texts yesterday, asking honey quex, wants some for a friend, so I get more honey ready for her, which sits in the cold. Today, she says she is definitely stopping by. Today, I am hyper-slammed in prep for tomorrow’s early and late farmers market. I will feel bad if I miss her, but I refuse to let flakey frens run

We saw them on the Mountain Rails concert tour one year in Colorado. It was pretty cool, they loaded onto the train (after the concert up on the mountain top amphitheater) and said hello to all the passengers.m

My internet provider raised our rates again and I'm tired of it happening. I can cut my internet cost in half and double my supposed speed so I'm looking to switch but I have a question.
If I switch over to fiber 1g internet and want my own modem instead of the providers what do I need to look for?
Currently we have 500 mbs internet and our own equipment. I don't think it can handle the higher speeds though and I really don't want to use the companies stuff.

Just spent some special hours in a mini meetup with our #nostr frens @Maria2000 & her hubby R, their cute dogs, cat, chickens, rabbits, and pigeons. Their farm is beautiful, and they have an airbnb for others to enjoy the peace and beauty, too. Plus, she hand-makes these wonderful skincare products.
