BTC price is up and down.. It is ok for my HODL bags long term, but if I am planning to spend some sats either through zaps or pay for services, better to keep it pegged to USD. cashu tokens let's you do it in a much easier way through lightning. Simply use any cashu USD supported wallets such as cashu.me or boardwalkcash.com and push some sats to keep it same value.

It is a known fact that Lazarus Group, a state-sponsored cyber-hacking group operating out of North Korea laundered over $500M through tornado-cash. Here are some examples of the damage they have inflicted:
Financial Losses
The Bangladesh Bank Heist (2016): Lazarus Group successfully stole $81 million from Bangladesh's central bank by hacking into the SWIFT banking system. This was one of the largest cyber heists in history.
Cryptocurrency Thefts: They have targeted and stolen millions from cryptocurrency exchanges and users, with estimates ranging from hundreds of millions to over $1 billion stolen over the years.
Bank Heists: In addition to Bangladesh Bank, they have stolen funds from banks in multiple countries like Ecuador ($12 million from Banco del Austro), Poland, and Mexico.
Operational Disruption

Typically you have a checking account and a savings account. Savings account is your bitcoin/sats self custodial cold storage wallet. But where is the checking account? Holding sats in a custodial lightning wallet is so old school. Cashu mint/wallet solves this by holding small amount sats as USD tokens which is backed by stable channel. The sats automagically increase/decrease based on BTC price.. I put in $20.82 last week and the value still remains the same..!
