That seems like something that a user should have a choice over. Can you remove yourself from that list if you want?

I don't know. I just created an npub to see the flow then tossed it. I stay away from primal for multiple reasons and would never recommend onboarding through them. It feels like it was created by people who don't actually use nostr daily.

I feel the same, I try a new npub on it occasionally and I'm not a fan of primal.

I was saying though that you should be asked if you want to be on that initial follow list, or at least have an option to remove yourself. I certainly wouldn't want a bunch of fake followers who just added me because I was on a list. Very inorganic.

Oh yeah, I agree with you about that. Beyond that, I think this method of onboarding actually hinders nostr's growth.

What client would you recommend for onboarding?

Good question. The people I have onboarded have been through Amethyst or Damus. I am very hands on, though, so I don't know of a good hands-off approach. Like, here is a client and a guide/onboard flow, go for it...don't know what I would recommend there. I know this is what primal is trying to accomplish, and I appreciate their effort. It is hard to get right.
