If you do a breadth first search on nostr for relay discovery
1) sample a bunch of relays for kind 10002
2) add each new relay to a queue to search through
3) sum up the number of hits for each relay, adding unseen ones to the queue

Its a power law.
We are engaging in a natural process:
- without artificial constraints like banning
- without artificial growth and superficial standardized engagement metrics

You only need to be here a while and engage randomly for a bit, you'll find your home and place on nostr. Everything else that improves the protocol is icing on top. You really can't be bullish enough. There is no banning nostr, because it is just websocket messaging.

You can do things to make your time here more enjoyable (writeup in process). Relays can be banned. But nostr itself can't be.

So is the idea to keep it fully alive like Bitcoin is to maximize the relays? Maybe make on boarding a relay super simple to deploy? Just my 2cents looking from an outside perspective

Bitcoin is an economic energy source like sunlight, technology requires economic energy.
By that, nostr relays are the dandilions you find sprouting from the cracks in concrete sidewalks.

Love how you described it, and I agree so much with this: " engage randomly for a bit, you'll find your home and place on #nostr IT'S SO FUCKING TRUE.

You made me even more bullish.. got almost a boner. (No homo, just FOMO)😅😂
