Debatable. I'm not 1000% convinced of that. But either way, wether machines can produce art or not, they cannot replace an Artist because an Artist isn't just someone who produces Art. He is an Artistic performance in himself.
I'm starting to think it is possible for someone to produce Art without being an Artist.
But again I'm not sure at all. It's just a train of thought I've been on.

I'm firmly of the mind that art making is intrinsicly and inseperably anthropological. Which I think also relates to the point you are making.
