How do you guys balance your Nostr activity with your daily routine?
I struggle getting things done when I open a Nostr client — so many interesting discussions. And while being on Nostr helps me absorb new ideas and develop my own new takes, it slows me down in actually getting things done.
Do you restrict your time on Nostr to a certain number of hours? Did you learn how to post, read and work simultaneously?

I think it just boils down to how to prioritize your time each day. Knock out the critical stuff first and they do as you please the remainder of the day.
When I find something that requires a deeper dive than I have time for I bookmark it and move on.

Hi tony 🤟😉🏴☠️ I feel you Nostr is a black hole of interesting discussions. I try to set specific ‘Nostr time’ during the day, just like checking emails, so it doesn’t derail my productivity. Also, batching: I engage deeply for a bit, then disconnect completely. Haven’t mastered the ‘post, read, and work simultaneously’ part yet if you crack the code, let me know! ⚡️

Sounds good!
Regarding multitasking I’m convinced that no matter how hard you try to master it, you lose efficiency in each task, unless you’re a genius.

I try to start in the morning on code, without opening my nostr client. But it doesn't usually work out that way. Nonetheless, after reading inbox and priority, I can close the nostr client and get into code or github notifications.

I’ll try to avoid opening Nostr during my morning routine. This should improve things, thanks.
Have at least on meaningful thing planned for the day done before hanging out with frens.

When I'm working and notice that I'm spending time on nostr I try to be conscious about that and save things to read later, then throw the phone and continue working

I do that too, but I noticed that I don’t get to come back to all of them or some discussions stop being as relevant due to their urgency. But more daily tasks do get done this way.
NO Solutions, only TRadeoffs, right? 😆
I guess taking efficient use of own notes is a while different rabbit hole and I know I’m not the only one struggling with it 😅

Yes nostr is still mid for me at best. There is potential… but we need more docs for devs… and bots
