fucking LN
it took me an hour to send $600

yes I have the sats, plus 50k cushion.
wtf is "your payment routing profile" and why do I have to reset it to find a path?

I mean
it depends on the size

much fewer 1M sat txs go through
than 1K sat txs

Why are you paying $600 over Lightning tho? It's cheaper via on-chain. LN payments above 150K sats have a good chance of failing if you only have a single channel / bad channels. What channels are you using by the way?

Sometimes, the goal isn't to have to wait 10 minutes (or 30-60 if you're watching for confirmations) for a payment to go through. There are reasons to use Lightning other than fee savings. Not ideal though that liquidity wise, that isn't how things tend to go through just yet.

If $600 is a big payment for you, I understand how your future self depends on BTC NGU.

What would be helpful to know is that all payments below a certain amount e.g. $10k always go through especially when fees around $100 to secure the BTC chain will be the norm in a couple of years.

and frankly
$600 is a small payment.

You are comparing a L2 focused on micro/small payments... with L1 shitcoins.

I remember reading an article from Tony Giorgio discussing how he paid for a $1K+ (fiat denominated) bike with Lightning.

Get fucked, retard.
Lightning is shit.

Never have a hypeman confront their own hypocrisy; they'll ignore it with more promptness than they do Bitcoin's critical flaws, kek.
