Ah yeah, thanks, I played with that before, but it's infuriating because it's not a separate kind. So you still see all the media posts, just that the media is reduced to text links. And then to get the context of what people are talking about you still have to open the media links. So it defeats the purpose for me really.
I'd like a separate kind where every note you see is composed with the composer being fully aware that this world is text only. If you can't say it with text only, you're out of luck. The only way that works is if the Kind is its own Kind and not interoperable with current kind1s.

Yup, but what is text only?
As in, can't it reference nostr:nevent1blablabla... etc? Or is it text, basta?

Ah hah, lol. That's a whole 'nother problem.
Pure text. No links. No emojis (except I guess those Japanese ones you make with pure text.) Kind1t notes can quote other Kind1t notes, but that's it, can't quote anything that isn't also a Kind1t note.
But still zaps.
That'd be the dream.
If people need to share links, photos, gifs, they can jump back to their regular Kind1 client and share with the person there. This would be a hardcore enforced text-only world.
