DMs don’t solve the problem. You need a place to notify the user where they get their daily direction and that’s email. There’s no difference in getting a Dm from checking a dedicated client for content from people you follow. It’s just as easy to integrate long form into a client in a dedicated feed. DMs are more complicated and barely an improvement over checking a feed.
