The US is a good example a place where the smallest govt to ever exist resulted in the greatest production of wealth to ever exist.

There are people who claim that this wealth was built on slavery, but the south was historically poorer than the north. Real wealth creation is the result of innovation & trade, not slavery.

If slavery WAS the source of wealth then why isn't North Korea extremely wealthy today? Why did the Soviet Union collapse? Why did Mao's China collapse? These places have had more direct slavery than any other groups in history.

Government is the slavery promoting institution we need to reduce.

No, but it is clear that the subject cannot even be mentioned without some people having an emotional reaction.

You're not making sense. We need anarchy, in which an act of decentralized governance might be me shooting anyone I find holding innocent people captive.

Like trading cotton or something that was around 60% of all US exports?

And yet the south was still poorer than the north, because exports don't make a country rich 😮 imagine that!

Dude imagine how poor they’d be without the labor! Yes the North siphoned the wealth just like we do from the 3rd world, but stop with the slaves were not a big deal.

The south got richer after slavery ended. Similarly North Korea would become richer if people were allowed to freely produce & trade.

The point is that direct & coercive slavery does not create wealth. Innovation is the primary source of wealth. You cannot beat new ideas out of people. So the natural pressure of economic advancement makes slavery less economically sustainable.

Humans are a very costly form of livestock. They cannot be whipped or threatened into producing much above subsistence levels. The primary aim of human livestock management is to have them believe they are free or being helped by those enslaving them, once the illusion fails everything tends to fall apart.

Even the "free range" sort of fiat slavery we have today ultimately destroys the drive of the most intelligent & productive & ultimately causes society to collapse.

It also confirms that the state is expansionist and will increasingly want to intervene more in the lives of individuals

The slavery wasn't the issue. The civil war didn't even start until the south issued its own currency. Slave labor was around long before the war and existed well after.
