Whether 'fruit till noon' or 'coke till dinner'... sugar fasting ignites your metabolic furnace and melts off fat.

iirc ray once said sugar should be eaten with fat or protein so that it's absorbed more slowly into the bloodstream

Where is a good place to start with all things Peat? I'm relatively familiar because I followed that guy and others on Twitter for a while.

Coca-cola also completely dissolves pennies, teeth, nails, etc.

What does this do to your body?
Also theres no labels to his graph.

I can understand eating natural sugars, fruits, honey, etc.

But anyone who thinks consuming 8-10 cokes a day is not more harmful than beneficial should not be taken seriously for diet/health advice.

True: Coca-Cola has lots of phosphoric acid and synthetic flavoring, neither of which are healthful.

To @Paul Saladino MD's point, cola also contains loads of refined cane sugar, which packs tons of pure energy (good), but has no antimicrobial properties, exposing folks to dysbiosis (bad).

Fruit / honey fasting is certainly a more healthful approach to sugar fasting.

Cola can be nice, but at least go for something like https://www.maineroot.com/ which uses herbs for flavoring.

Phosphoric acid needs to be balanced with calcium, so good to load up on diary if consuming the periodic soda pop.

Just be sure not to swamp; when fat is consumed alongside a high sugar intake, the sugar is stored as saturated fat on the body in order to prioritize the dietary fat (which is a more expensive and risky biological process).

Or push to later in the day, while reducing sugar intake at that time to 'make room' for lipid metabolism.

We need saturated fats for cholestoral and to maintain muscle glycogen, so a good strategy that optimizes body composition overall is smart to have.

I have noticed a somewhat similar effect in the winter when my honey consumption increases. I always thought it was because the honey is filling. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Check your body temp after consuming clean, natural sugars. You'll notice a warm and toasty after effect. That's your mitochondria decoupling to favor sugar burning and heat production. Returns your body to child-like metabolic conditions.
