I want a loan against my bitcoin without the risk of liquidation just b/c it drops for a day. My home equity loan doesn’t risk getting called at any moment. Bitcoin is more secure than a home, as collateral.

Ah I see. Think it’s fair to mark to market. Obviously you can never guarantee a V recovery or “drop for just a day”. IMO you just need to have a lower LTV % that allows a volatility buffer.
