In this clip the great leatherstein explains how it's a plastic film that has been hot stamped on the leather. You can see it when he removes it with acetone.

It's not necessarily bad. I like saffiano. The texture pattern is very cool. But it's commercial grade.

I wouldn’t pay 2200 for a bag even if it was from scrotum leather.

I bought leather bags from a guy in Jerusalem. $300 for a huge travel bag, 250$ for a messenger.

Only issue is it’s from the ritually killed animals, but I guess I don’t care because it’s such a great quality.
