Have you considered anon and private zaps, which are also there and helped me get to the top. And don’t get me started on a few friendly zaps among friends, back and forth 😂🫂💜

Damn you and all your tricks, Fishcake! 😂
@Max @Pip the social graph guy he has a point though
I can check reputation, restrict account age, ignore self/private/anon zaps, but it becomes tighter and tighter to control
I don’t see anyway to combat two people zapping each other to the top other than individually blacklisting npubs for gaming the system, which becomes exhausting

The tricky part of zaps is that one person can donate an unbounded amount. You can mitigate this in two ways:
- make the score based on heads; for example 100 reputable npubs donated more than 1k sats. Fucking up with this is going to be hard because reputable npubs are hard to create. In all generality, you can create a function that gives more weight to the number of npubs donating rather than the amount.
- add friction, meaning fees; sure, two friends can zap in cycles, but they will incur a cost. You can add a x% fees, which btw can be your monetisation, or donate that to a third-party like a charity.
@Geyser always had this potential problem of people gaming grants, and as far as I know it wasn't a big challenge, because they have fees.

How did you get yours to post? I created a meme and posted it through memeamigo but it resulted in this:

Also, you don’t have to use memeamigo
You can just use hashtag “memeleaderboard” on your post
